Table of Abraham: The Importance of Prayer

In partnership with the Atlantic Institute, we held our first Table of Abraham program on October 1st 2013. The event topic centered around the Importance of Prayer through the three Abrahamic Traditions. As a representative from each tradition, we presented Rabbi Michael Bernstein - leader of Congregation Gesher L’Torah in Alpharetta; Dr. Graham WalkerJr. -professor of Theology and Philosophy at Mercer University and President for the Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary; and Imam Abdullah Antepli - the Muslim Chaplain of Duke University and founder and executive board member of the Muslim Chaplains Association.

We Strongly Condem Terrorist Attack in Nairobi, Kenya

We are saddened to learn the terrorist attack in Nairobi, Kenya. We condemn it and hope that crimainals will be brought to justice. We mourn the loss of life and deplore senseless violence perpetrated in the name of religion which prohibits killing innocent individuals.

Exploring Faiths: A Presbyterian Christian Perspective

The world is getting smaller yet at the same time the people seem to be growing apart. "Istanbul Center, in partnership with Emory University's Halle Institute and Middle Eastern & South Asian Studies department, welcomed Dr. Scott Alexander to lecture on "Which Religion Will Win; An End to Triumphalism in Christian-Muslim Relations."
